On August 22, 2024, pastors and church leaders from Kitsap and Pierce Counties came together at the site of Care Net of Puget Sound’s new clinic to lift up the property, project, and future patients in prayer. With pastors in attendance from all different denominations and cities, the gathering was a powerful testament to the strength of the Church in the Puget Sound area and our shared mission to provide life-affirming care to women and families in the South Kitsap area.
The gathering began with a discussion about Care Net’s upcoming Capital Campaign, where the pastors learned about the critical need for this clinic and the significant role it will play in serving women facing unplanned pregnancies. As we move forward with relocating our Gig Harbor location to Port Orchard, we know we are truly moving to meet her – women in need of life-affirming care but without access to receive it in their time of need.
But the heart of the gathering was prayer. The pastors joined Care Net staff in prayer over the property, the extensive construction and permitting process ahead, and, most importantly, the women and families who will come through the clinic doors seeking hope and help. With united hearts, they prayed for the clinic to be a beacon of life and the love of Jesus where women find care, compassion, and life-affirming resources.
As we move forward with this project, we are so grateful for the pastors and churches who are standing with us in prayer and support. Their prayers over the property and the work ahead were not only uplifting but a reminder of how essential prayer is in every step of this journey. We believe God will use this Care Net of Puget Sound clinic in mighty ways because it has built on a foundation of prayer and faith in our Lord Jesus Christ!
.Our theme verse for this campaign is Matthew 17:20b
“If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” We are excited to see what God is going to do with this campaign.
